Convince us. jobs@aclaro.com Current opportunities at aclaro: Quality Assurance Specialist (Calgary) We're looking for a talented, Quality Assurance Specialist who thrives in a flexible work environment that fosters independent thought and minimal bureaucracy. You'll be an energetic, self-motivated team player who'll work with the aclaro development and consulting teams to ensure quality releases of the petroLook software. Responsibilities: Manage all quality assurance efforts, develop and maintain test plans and test scripts, perform regression and load testing, verify issues reported by aclaro's clients and internal consultants, track issues to resolution, validate that new features are behaving as designed, provide status of release builds to management, work with the documentation team to document new features, and manage the company's Virtualized Environment. Skills: Minimum of technical diploma in Computing Science, preferably a B.Sc. Degree in Computing Sciences; five plus years of work experience in software quality assurance; excellent problem solving skills and attention to details; strong communication, interpersonal and reporting skills; ability to work with limited supervision; experience working with custom software and developing test plans which thoroughly test the software; experience working in a web environment (IIS); good knowledge of MS SQL Server and Oracle; some programming experience (background in object oriented programming is an asset); experience working with automated testing software; and working knowledge of Virtualization (VMware). Software Developer (Calgary) Responsibilities: Work both within small teams and individually on various software development projects, help design and implement solutions for aclaro's current and future product base, help gather and analyze project requirements, assist with test planning and execution for development projects, and help provide internal and client support. Experience: C#, .Net Framework Development ( and/or C++ Development ) Web Application Development Microsoft Desktop Application Development SQL Relational Database (Oracle, SQL Server) design, implementation, programming Object Oriented Design Senior Developers - 5+ years software development experience Education: Computer Science Degree or equivalent Skills: Work well within a small team, excellent attention to detail, ability to solve complex problems, ability to manage priorities and handle simultaneous demands, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Integration Analyst
(Calgary and Houston) Required Skills: Programming experience(C# is a plus), proficiency in Oracle and SQL Server databases, proficiency in SQL (data manipulation), understanding of XML, strong interpersonal and communication skills, team player, and Computer Science Degree or equivalent. At aclaro, Integration Analysts work in-house to develop the technical deliverables for our clients. These include the creation and configuration of databases, customization of the application according to specific client's needs, development of data loaders and reports, application testing and documentation, as well as technical support for our clients in the U.S. and Latin America. Aclaro provides mentorship training for junior candidates with a desire to learn. This includes training in our software and in the fundamentals of oil and gas exploration and production. Aclaro is looking for self-motivated individuals for this position. (Calgary and Houston) Required Skills: Experience as a Technical Consultant (programming experience - C# is a plus, proficiency in Oracle and SQL Server databases, proficiency in SQL - data manipulation, understanding of XML), understanding of project management processes, excellent communication skills - both oral and written, positive attitude and ability to work with all personality types, strong understanding of the oil and gas exploration and production industry, experience with petroleum economic evaluations tools and concepts, understanding of reserves reporting concepts is a plus, understanding of E&P financial planning is a plus, willing to work flexible hours, willing to work in a fast paced and highly interactive work environment, both a Computer Science degree and Oil and Gas related experience. Integration Consultants are the client interfaces of aclaro. They work with clients and prospective clients to evaluate their challenges and propose solutions to those issues. They manage aclaro's consulting projects and ensure that the agreed solutions are developed on time and according to specifications. They deliver the solutions to the clients and teach them how to use the new software and processes. Integration Consultants need to have an excellent understanding of the Oil and Gas E&P industry. They need to have strong technical skills to implement and integrate the applications at client sites. And they need to have a good understanding of project management processes and have excellent communication skills since they act as the communications pipeline between the developers and analysts and the end users. Integration Consultants spend a majority of their time working at the client site. In addition to delivering consulting projects, they are responsible for ensuring that the aclaro applications are being used to their fullest potential and to provide feedback to aclaro management. As the Integration Consultant's schedule is often driven by client needs and schedules, an Integration Consultant needs to be able to work a flexible schedule. Integration Consultants will have the opportunity to expand their technical and industry knowledge and to move into other key roles.
