PetroLook Featured at 2002 Canadian International Petroleum Conference

‘Bridging the Data Divide’ a paper detailing a software solution which eliminates the barriers to data accessibility providing data integration, analysis, and reporting to be presented at conference.

Calgary, Canada – May 21, 2002 — aclaro softworks, inc. (aclaro), today announced that their petroLook product will be featured in a paper selected for presentation at the 2002 Canadian International Petroleum Conference, to be held in Calgary, Alberta June 11-13, 2002.

The paper was jointly authored by Chevron Canada Resources, Pioneer Natural Resources Canada Inc., Northrock Resources Ltd., and aclaro. ‘Bridging the Data Divide’ describes the overwhelming amount of data available to oil and gas professionals for decision-making and how the different formats of the data and lack of integration between different formats makes it very difficult to use the data appropriately. The paper continues by discussing the common approaches to solving these issues and why these solutions are not ideal. The paper then describes how Chevron Canada Resources, Pioneer Natural Resources Canada Inc., Northrock Resources Ltd., and aclaro have worked together to build a solution, named petroLook, to this long-standing problem.
