At aclaro we have a team of implementation and customization experts available to help our clients with the initial install of the petroLook software and with any future customization needs.

Many of the enterprise software vendors force their clients to engage a third party consulting company to implement their software or to extend an existing implementation. This can prove both frustrating and costly.

Frustrating because the client is often forced to train the consultants on the oil and gas business and those same consultants are often learning the system that they are implementing as they go. And if something goes wrong, it’s frustrating because the software vendor can blame the implementation and the implementer can blame the software – either way that doesn’t solve the problem.

Costly because these service providers generate 100% of their revenue from the implementation and customization work – there is no incentive for them to bring prior learnings or work to the table. It’s in their best financial interest to keep reinventing the wheel client after client.

We’re an oil and gas software company first. That’s our primary business. But we believe that it’s our responsibility to help our clients get the most out of our software, so we provide services where it makes sense through our team of analysts. The team’s focus and expertise are on petroLook and on the oil and gas industry. That’s it. And whether we’re performing the work, or just acting in an advisory role to our clients’ resources, we bring all of the work that we’ve done with our other clients to the table. There’s no incentive for us to do the same work twice – if we’ve done it before, we make it available.
